COVID-19 Company Statement - Last updated 20/05/2020

We are closely following the government guidelines on the COVID-19 as it develops.

The safety of our staff, our customers and the communities we serve will always be our number one priority.

Therefore, we have implemented the work from home strategy for all of our office staff.  We have temporarily closed our office premises until further notice.

Any non essential abseiling work has been placed on hold until further notice. However, some of our clients provide essential maintenance and services to keep our critical infrastructure maintained, secure and operational during this current crisis. In light of this, a small team of abseilers are kept on standby to help in these cases.

To minimise risk, our operatives will be travelling by company van in order to avoid public transport to their place of work. Company vans will be cleaned regularly especially steering wheels, gear sticks, hand breaks etc.

Our staff will follow social distancing rules. We are to maintain a 2 metre distance at all times (only with the exception of rope access rescue.

If our operatives show any of the following symptoms,

high temperature

a persistent cough

loss of Smell and/or taste

They should;

Return home immediately

Avoid touching anything

If symptoms worsen you must get advice from www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or by dialling 111 must be used as a last resort.

Our company standards on PPE must be adhered to at all times, but during this period of COVID-19 restrictions extra control measures will be enforced:

Latex gloves must be worn underneath normal task specific site gloves

Latex gloves must be worn once and thrown away in a rubbish bin

Facemasks is equipped to all our staff and must be worn

Single use PPE should be disposed of so that it cannot be reused

Where possible, our staff will stagger their breaks if there is a team working onsite more than 2 technicians. We must take breaks in teams of 2 for health and safety reasons ie in case of rescue. Our staff is not to leave site during their breaks.

Always wash hands when you get home or into work, with soap & water for at least 20 seconds. Also before and after eating or drinking/smoking/use of welfare facilities Use hand sanitiser.

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze

Put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards

Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell

We thank you for all your help and support.
